Design and build of Pump Park, Cyclocross Track, and Wetland Area.
The Pump Park and Cyclocross Track were constructed within Torbay Velopark and delivered in two phases.
Phase 1: involved the construction of the Cyclocross Track, which featured a 40m x 4m sand pit, sleeper steps, a dirt wave section, and a man-made dirt hill for elevation. The Wildlife Wetland area was also completed during this phase.
Phase 2: focused on the design and build of a tarmac Pump Park. Unlike traditional pump tracks, the pump park includes a variety of features such as jumps, ramps, bowls, and other obstacles, in addition to typical pump track elements like berms, rollers, and jumps. The entire area was surfaced with tarmac to create a versatile riding environment. The design was inspired by pump parks visited during trips to France.
